Science Alliance Winter Break Day Camps
When school's out, science is in! This winter break, young scientists can spend their days exploring chemistry, physics, biology, and more through hands-on experiments, creative challenges, and frosty fun.
From bubbling potions and snowflake science to fiery reactions and icy animal adaptations, each day offers a new theme packed with discovery and excitement. Designed for curious minds ages 6 to 10, our Winter Break Day Camps combine education and play in a safe, engaging environment led by our experienced Science Alliance instructors.
Join us for one day or all four and make this winter a season of wonder!
Winter Wonder Lab
Mix, bubble, and fizz your way through the wonders of chemistry! This chilly twist on classic experiments explores temperature reactions, color-changing mixtures, and the science of solids and liquids. Campers will make frosty potions and learn how molecules behave when things get cold.
The Science of Snow
Why does snow sparkle? How are snowflakes formed? Campers become winter weather scientists as they uncover the mysteries of snow, from the clouds above to the crystals below! Through experiments, art, and a bit of meteorology magic, they’ll explore the science behind one of winter’s coolest creations.
Fire and Ice
Extreme temperatures meet explosive science! Campers will explore the chemistry and physics behind heat and cold, from fiery combustion reactions to freezing temperatures that defy expectations. Safe, hands-on experiments will show how molecules behave under extreme conditions.

Penguins, Polars, and the Planet
How do animals survive the coldest places on earth? How does ice shape ecosystems? Why are the poles vital to our planet? Campers will dive into biology, earth science, and environmental connections, learning how small changes can make a big difference for polar life.
